Description

William Grant is the mind and creator behind this great distillery. He previously worked and learned the trade at Mortlach but laid plans for the foundations in 1886. He worked for his company until he sadly passed at the age of 83. David Stewart is the current malt master and is famous around the world for being one of the first to use different woods for finishing. The term of course was aptly named wood finishing and will see ex bourbon casks moved into a cask that previously held port, sherry, rum etc.  On the 5th of July, 2016 he achieved an MBE.

It doesn't get rarer than 1 of only 1 bottle. This bottle is of course a very limited edition from a single cask #7293 which is from Balvenies ancient reserve whiskies. It was hand bottled at the distillery on the 19th of September 2013 to celebrate and recognize a valuable contribution to the distillery across this employee's career. The distillation of this precious liquid took place in 1968 and the maturation took place in an refill American oak hogshead. Described to have a rich and vibrant nose, this whisky has great depth leaving a truly memorable and long-lasting finish.

Thus, the bidder fully understands, prior to confirming a bid they are happy with the condition of the lot, whether it has conditions noted or otherwise.
