Description

Ferg & Harris is a luxury single-cask independent bottler, who pairs exceptional whiskies with various wood finishes to create a distinctive dram. They are a small but progressive team of whisky enthusiasts and experts.

With around 500 different casks of whisky in their storeroom, they have access to a wide range of great single malts to choose from. Each single cask release is a small batch producing between 150 to 400 bottles, as they say, good things come in small packages.

Distilled on the 5th of September 1995 on the island of Mull, this single cask comes from the Ledaig Tobermory distillery. This single cask #147 was matured for 27 years in virgin oak hogshead barrels before being finished for three months in oloroso barrels. Only 239 bottles were bottled on the 8th of October 2022 at 47.2% ABV by independent bottlers Ferg & Harris.

Prior to any bid being placed on a lot, close up visual inspection is to be carried out. If you are unsure in any way about the condition of the said lot, click “ask a question” above. More in-depth descriptions and additional photos can be taken upon request. Otherwise, lots are sold as seen in the pictures. The bidder understands that once you have bid, you are stating you understand this and that the checks stated above have been carried out and you are happy with the lot's condition.

TGWA may try to highlight conditions of interest of lots being sold in the auction. The majority of the items being sold are of second-hand nature and TGWA cannot be held responsible for any conditions that may not have been specified when listing the lots on the site. Thus, the bidder fully understands, prior to confirming a bid they are happy with the condition of the lot, whether it has conditions noted or otherwise.

Should there be a discrepancy between the photo and the lot title/description, the photograph holds the precedent. No claim can be lodged against a misdescribed item as all lots are sold as seen.

Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, the condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit. Loss and breakage cover is available at 3% of the hammer price as standard. If the lot is not insured, no claim can be lodged against the courier or The Grand Whisky Auction for breakage or loss in transit.
