Description
Dia de Muertos, one of Mexico's most iconic traditions, their towns and cities are washed over by a sea of rich and familiar scents. From open-air markets to festively decorated homes, this aromatic landscape entrances the hearts and minds of all.
This limited edition seeks to evoke one of the most enchanting of these aromas: the sweet essence of cempasúchil blossoms; a sharp, herbal fragrance which awakens the memory of the loved ones and transports you to treasured moments from the past.
The decanter for this edition brims with a beautiful marigold-coloured glaze that deepens in shade as it reaches the base. The back of the piece has been decorated with a dreamlike illustration depicting a plentiful harvest, where masked figures rejoice in a miraculous bounty of flowers. On the front an intricately handcrafted, gold-plated ornament encases flowing arrangement of delicate cempasúchil petals.
Within the decanter is a precious añejo tequila that was created over the course of 25 months by Clase Azul's Master Distiller; aged first in American whiskey casks and finished in casks of Armagnac.
This is the third instalment of Nuestros Recuerdos, a series of five limited-edition pieces dedicated to the most exquisite aspects of Día de Muertos.

Loss and breakage cover is available at 3% of the hammer price as standard. If the lot is not insured, no claim can be lodged against the courier or The Grand Whisky Auction for breakage or loss in transit.
