Description

Clynelish is one of the Four Corners distilleries of Johnnie Walker. The original Clynelish Distillery was founded by the Duke of Sutherland in 1819 adjacent to the present operational Clynelish Distillery which was built in 1967. In 2002, Clynelish finally released an official bottling, the 14-Year-Old, after mostly being used as a filler for many blends including Johnnie Walker. Diageo announced plans for a £30m expansion in 2014, however, since then, nothing has come of it.

One of the most respected and highly acclaimed independent bottlers of Scotch Whisky there is, Douglas Laing & Co has been established since 1948.  The company is based in Glasgow and boasts a great selection of brands including its "Remarkable Regional Malts" range, encompassing The Epicurean, Timorous Beastie, Scallywag, Rock Island and Big Peat, as well as Old Particular, Provenance and Xtra Old Particular, which they collectively call their "Exceptional Single Casks".

This release was distilled in April of 1983 and bottled in May 2007. Only 305 bottles were released from cask #3555 (refill hoggy).
