Description
The most northerly whisky distillery on the Scottish mainland is situated in Thurso in the county of Caithness and Scotland’s Highlands whisky region. Wolfburn named after the watercourse that supplies the distillery was originally owned and operated by William Smith in 1821 before operation ceased in 1837. Laying dormant until 2012 when a private consortium called Aurora Brewing formed to rebuild Wolfburn 350 meters from the original distillery ruins. Whisky production resumed in 2013 after 157 years.
This 10-year-old single malt from Wolfburn marked a major milestone for the distillery as the first age statement core range expression. Aged exclusively in second-fill Oloroso sherry casks.

If the lot is not insured, no claim can be lodged against the courier or The Grand Whisky Auction for breakage or loss in transit.
