Description

This lot includes 4 x 70cl bottles of limited edition releases from Suntory from both the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries in Japan. These bottles form the 2024 Tsukuriwake collection.

Tsukuriwake represents a journey into the diverse whisky-making traditions passed down through generations of Suntory Whisky's master blenders. The blenders meticulously guide each stage of the process, crafting remarkable new flavor profiles. They expertly balance raw ingredient selection, peating levels, fermentation, distillation, and maturation techniques to fully explore and express the potential of single malt and Japanese whisky.

Yamazaki - Golden Promise 48%

The Yamazaki Golden Promise is crafted from Golden Promise barley, a varietal first cultivated in Scotland in the 1960s and celebrated for its exceptional flavor and malting qualities. Aging in American Oak casks enhances the distinct character of Yamazaki.

Yamazaki - Islay Peated Malt 48%

Islay peat gives Islay their whisky its iconic smoky flavor, celebrated worldwide. The Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt masterfully balances this smokiness with a signature sweetness, derived from the unique water and maturation methods of Yamazaki whisky. This blend of traditions is particularly evident on the nose.

Yamazaki - 18-Year-Old Mizunara 48%

After extensive years of experimentation, the blenders have unlocked the secret of Mizunara casks. It is one of time. Extended maturation imbues Yamazaki with distinct spiciness and hints of sandalwood and aloe. This Yamazaki Mizunara release has been aged for a minimum of 18 Years.

Hakushu - 18-Year-Old Peated Malt 48%

This Hakushu Peated Malt has been aged for 18 Years and draws on a long history with peated malt. The House of Suntory blenders have utilized Hakushu’s unique climate to unlock complex layers of flavour from the robust smokiness of the peated malt.
