Description

This lot brings together the Macallan Edition set, comprising Edition No.1-6 in the annual limited edition series 2015-2020.

The Macallan 'Edition' series is a showcase of select casks producing a taste with their own individual characteristics.

This lot includes:

  • Macallan - Edition No.1 - 48% (70cl) - The Macallan Edition No. 1 is the debut expression in the Edition Series. This is a limited edition drawn from eight European and American oak cask styles selected for their unique characteristics.
  • Macallan - Edition No.2 - 48.2% (70cl) - This is the second release from the Macallan Edition series. Edition No.2 is a collaboration between Macallan's master blender Bob Delgarno and legendary Spanish chefs Joan, Josep and Jordi Roca. The Rocas are the three brothers behind El Celler de Can Roca (named Best Restaurant in the World twice by Restaurant magazine). This single malt was drawn from a combination of sherry puncheons, butts and refill hogsheads.
  • Macallan - Edition No.3 - 48.3% (75cl) - The third release in the Macallan Edition series. A unique selection of oak cask styles is combined to yield a new limited-edition expression each year.  Edition No.3 was a collaboration between master perfumer Roja Dove and master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno.  With Dove's remarkable sensory knowledge, Dalgarno shaped the character of Edition No.3 from a combination of European and American oak casks to create a deliciously sweet, single malt with floral notes.
  • Macallan - Edition No.4 - 48.4% (70cl) - The fourth release in the Edition Series from The Macallan, this Speyside single malt is a celebration of the distillery's whisky-making heritage, combining a unique selection of oak cask styles. Edition No.4 reflects the craftsmanship and pioneering design of the new Macallan distillery.
  • Macallan - Edition No.5 - 48.5% (70cl) - The fifth release in the Edition Series from The Macallan, The Macallan Edition No. 5 celebrates The Macallan’s extensive natural colour spectrum and the intricate whisky-making process, in partnership with masters at the Pantone Color Institute™ to create a unique shade of purple that features on the packaging.
  • Macallan - Edition No.6 - 48.6% (70cl) - The sixth release in the Edition Series from The Macallan has been created in collaboration with Hardy to pay homage to the natural landscape and the inspiring river Spey which forms part of the Macallan estate.
