Decadent Drinks is a small company based in Perth, Scotland, that does independent bottlings of fine spirits.
Whisky Sponge is a label led by the Head of Products and company director, Angus MacRaild. It all started in 2013 when he started a whisky blog and named it after a nickname given to him at a wine dinner in France. In 2019 Angus used his blog as the basis for a side project of bottling with his friend.
Whisky Sponge has become a recognisable brand with rare single malt whiskies and other fine spirits in limited numbers, with unique bottle labels.
This single malt was distilled at Tobermory Distillery in 2005. It's a marriage of two 2nd fill sherry butts aged for 17 years.
From the warehouses of Signatory Vintage, this was bottled in 2022 for Whisky Sponge's Edition No.70. This is one of only 312 bottles produced at a strength of 62.1% ABV.

Loss and breakage cover is available at 3% of the hammer price as standard. If the lot is not insured, no claim can be lodged against the courier or The Grand Whisky Auction for breakage or loss in transit.
