Description

First established in 1949 on the site of a 12th Century brewery in Blackford village in Perthshire, close to the southern edge of the Highland whisky region. Arguably the oldest ‘public’ brewery in the kingdom known to have been where James IV stopped to buy a barrel of ale after his coronation at Scone. Following various attempts to establish a distillery at Tullibardine, it was not until 1949 when the site was bought by the famous distillery designer William Delmé-Evans who build a new distillery that it began distilling in Ernest. The distillery was then passed through multiple owners including, Brodie Hepburn, Invergordon Distillers, and Whyte & Mackay before closing in 1994. In 2003 a consortium of investors purchased Tullibardine to bring it back into operation before it was sold to the French company Picard Vins & Spiritueux in 2011.

Thus, the bidder fully understands, prior to confirming a bid they are happy with the condition of the lot, whether it has conditions noted or otherwise.

Should there be a discrepancy between the photo and the lot title/description, the photograph holds the precedent. No claim can be lodged against a misdescribed item as all lots are sold as seen.
